Rajput Indian Restaurant Review

4402 Princess Anne Road
Virginia Beach
(757) 467-6789

Rajput Indian Cuisine was established in Dec. 1999 by Paul Chhabra in Hampton Virginia with the motto of providing a comfortable, Indian Heritage inspires atmosphere and authentic home style cooking. This restaurant proudly introduces real authentic Indian Cuisine to the culinary novice, who may believe that all the Indian food is spicy hot and tastes like curry. Indian food is not just curry, that is only a little part of it. There are so many dishes, so many ways to cook, like Tomato base sauces, curry base sauces and creamy sauces.

There’s something so exciting about Indian cuisine and the golden colors of curry on a delicious lamb, a mother watering mango lassi to quench the heat, and the soft light illuminating from from the brass lamp. The environment is perfect for a romantic evening or any special occasion. Once a month Rajput prepares a huge vegetarian buffet that will entice any seasoned diners taste buds.

Rajput also offers pre-fixed meals for people who have dietary restrictions but would still like to indulge in this awesome culinary adventure. Their menu also offers a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The chef at Rajput uses natural soybean oil for cooking which is cholesterol and salt free.

Michele Newman says:

I loved this place when it first opened. My family and I (husband and 3 kids) went there all the time. But in the past few months, the really nice man that welcomed us and was so nice to our family seems to be gone. This is not the owner I am talking about it was another man. He is the reason people kept coming back to the VB location. I don’t know what happened to him but I can tell you that people came in because he was great at managing the place. Now- the food is still good but the friendliness and atmosphere are not the same. This is why people are not coming back now. This is why the place is empty at night. Now they are closed on Monday’s which tells your the business is not doing good. But non the less. The food is great, however, the atmosphere is uncomfortable.
