Catch 31 Restaurant Review

3001 Atlantic Avenue
Virginia Beach
(757) 213-3474

Start your exciting, beach front dining experience with an open-air kitchen and hardwood grill. Serving only the freshest fish; fifteen or more varieties, flown in fresh. Add the Catch 31 raw bar overflowing with iced shellfish: oysters, crab, mussels, shrimp and other seasonal seafood – and already you know, this is where you’ll have that perfect Virginia Beach oceanfront meal.

The view couldn’t be nicer, with soaring ceilings and cool blue walls leading to the indoor/outdoor bar offering signature cocktails and a wine list recognized for its excellence by Wine Spectator. Outside on the terrace you’ll sip a cool drink, watch the waves and soak in the beachfront scene. And every day Catch 31 takes the extra time to prepare, from scratch, their soups, bisque’s and chowders. Because each of them must be a perfect complement to the fabulous fish, steak and chops their chefs cook to order on Catch 31’s hardwood open-flame grill.

Elaine says:

I absolutely love this cozy restaurant and it was perfect for our romantic night out. No doubt it is not the cheapest restaurant in town but you definitely get what you pay for and you would not be disappointed.

If like oysters then I think you’ll find there are a fresh as they get. The sauces for dipping the oyster in are Cocktail, Raspberry Mignonette and Tabasco. I personally have always hates them but there was something about the sauce that changed all that.

For the main course I had the beachcomber broiled and wow do I love it. I have eaten here about 15 times and I always get the same thing so I can’t comment on anything else. My boyfriend orders something different every time and he’s overly picky yet he never complains when we go there. His only complaint was he thought the service was a little slow, but I say it’s not fast food.
